The Data Literacy Association (DaLa) is a non-profit knowledge-sharing organization. It was founded in 2022 by a group of data-literate and data-inspired leaders from corporates, consulting firms and start-ups. It aims to empower the organizations in Asia to be successful in their data literacy journey. DaLa is a community of data leaders and data citizens in Asia. The association encourages and facilitates its members and ecosystem stakeholders to share their best practices and experiences on cultivating data literacy in their organizations.

Joanne Hon joined Equinix in 2024 as Managing Director of Equinix Hong Kong, leading the company’s business strategy in the market. She focuses on expanding the company’s capacity and digital services to accelerate customers’ digital transformation.

Ms Hon brings to Equinix more than 25 years of extensive financial technology, investment, insurance, legal and professional services experience in the Asia-Pacific region. Prior to her role at Equinix, she has held leadership positions at several publicly listed multinational companies and private equity-backed technology firms, including Thomson Reuters, Mercer, Dealogic, CPA Global and Broadridge.

Ms Hon holds a master’s degree in Financial Management from the University of London, and a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Asian Studies from the University of British Columbia.

Lance Yeung is a seasoned Data Management Professional with certifications in project management, Lean Six Sigma, Agile methodologies, data privacy, and machine learning. He has over 15 years of experience specializing in data governance across various sectors, including finance, logistics, technology, and manufacturing. At central bank and stock exchange, he successfully implemented comprehensive data governance programs and solutions, enhancing data quality and operational efficiency by developing data strategies, establishing governance frameworks, and defining data policies and standards. Additionally, he has led data integration and business intelligence migration projects, driving significant improvements in data quality.
